You Inspire – Coffee for Your Heart

It’s Wednesday and that means I’ve poured you a cup of coffee and scooched over to make room for you on my couch. Won’t you come and find some refreshment for your soul as we link up with Holley Gerth? Today we’re talking about who inspires us.

You inspire me.

Yes, you.  The one who slings a laundry basket on one hip and a toddler on another and dares to find joy in the middle of crusty counters and cereal covered floors.
You inspire me.
Yes, you.  The one who bravely holds a bucket and doesn’t turn away from the sick and the fever, but instead gathers it all close to soothe and heal.
You inspire me.
Yes, you.  The one who hits the floor on her knees when the door slams or the attitude sparks and the talking back tears a hole in your soul, the one who would endure the fire just so they don’t have to.
You inspire me.
Yes, you.  The one who is not afraid to come up close to a friend and wrap arms around heartache and finger the edges of red, raw pain and pray for healing to come.
You inspire me.
Yes, you.  The one who shows the world shameless bravery and fights for those things that are worth fighting for, the things that are bigger than you and I– the world-changing, the life-changing things.
You inspire me.
Yes, you.  The one who feared community, wouldn’t come in close because wounds have long memories that kept you at bay.  Yet, you let community heal you and you’ve turned your broken into building blocks.
You inspire me.
Yes, you.  The one who became a mid-wife to dreams, who helped ease the unfurling of fledgling flight with your encouragement and constant source of support.
You inspire me.
Yes, you.  The one reading this right now and you’re wondering whether or not you’ll run out of patience before you run out of day, yet you find your strength in Him and lean in close when it gets hard.
You inspire me.
Yes, you.  The one who challenges me to love myself as much as I love others, who doesn’t let me say those things to myself that Christ would never say to me.
You inspire me.
All of you…
Every. Single. Day.
