My Thoughts on (in)RL

**Updated** I couldn’t participate in the meet-up on Saturday due to a final exam.  But had I gone and breathed the same air and broken bread with my fellow sisters, my community, my thoughts would have been the same. It was Sunday before I could watch the Saturday videos over at (in)Courage and it was the best experience, to touch these stories from women that I admire.

We gathered around screens.  6000 of us.  College student, grandmother, sister, aunt, mother, daughter, all from different walks of life but all of us with the same beautiful calling of woman.

And we watched faces on screens tell stories about brokenness, hurt and even shame and we soaked tissues with tears as these stories became the beats our hearts make.

Our fingers flew over keys trying capture all of the truth, the God given truth in 140 characters or less because our hearts were bursting to share this moment with the world.  And in the middle of it all we are overcome by the magnitude of God’s reach.  How is arms know no longitude or latitude.  His love knows no boundaries, His presence knows no walls.

Hearts were meeting and beating as one as woman after woman felt the walls of doubt and fear begin to crumble under the weight of the enormous blessing of community.

We are undone by the bravery of the stories.  The good, the bad and the ugly, but all of it beautiful to Christ, because He has used those moments – the ones that hang our heads in shame, the ones that lock our jaws up tight with anger – He used all of them for His glory tonight.

Healing happened tonight, holy things happened tonight.   God cupped hands around cheeks and turned gazes back to Him tonight and friends my heart is on fire with the flame of His goodness and the knowledge that at this moment, this very second, angels are rejoicing in heaven because hearts have returned home… Home to the loving arms of a good, good Father.

This day, this night, this weekend , this time was ordained by the God of all creation!

And this, THIS is what I want to shout from the rooftops tonight.

“For everything comes from him and exists by his power and is intended for his glory. All glory to him forever! Amen.” – Romans 11:36
